Stimulate Healing with Extracorporeal Pulse Activated Technology
Extracorporeal Pulse Activated Technology®, or EPAT®, is an FDA approved, non-invasive treatment for acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. It is an exceptional advance in medical science. EPAT® uses distinctive sets of pressure waves to stimulate both biologic and angiogenic reactions that promote blood circulation in the targeted area. This accelerates natural healing in the body.

For this therapy, the patient rests in a comfortable chair with his or her ankle on a large rubber, fluid-filled dome. While anesthesia is not always required, we may administer a local anesthetic for comfort. Once we have determined a specific area to target, we will set the equipment to pulsate and penetrate at a predetermined speed and intensity. You will hear a clicking sound as the technology works to rapidly to force your body to lay down new tendon fibers.
